Hi Everybody!!! Check me out in my new Hats!!! Mommy got me these for spring and summer, to keep the sun off my face, since it's always so sunny here in Colorado!!
Also, this week Mommy and Daddy started trying to give me what they are having for dinner too. So I got to eat Spaghetti!!! That was fun!! Especially cuz Mommy just stripped me down and let me go at it!! (She said I was due for a bath anyways!!) I had so much fun!! I even got some in my mouth too!! But Daddy didn't have as much fun cleaning up the high chair afterwards!
Not a whole lot else going on this week. Except . . . oh yeah . . . Grandpa Louie will be happy to hear - I CAN CRAWL NOW!!! I'm not moving too far, or too fast yet (thankfully - says Mommy) but I can go!! Check out the videos on the right. Other than that, I'm just playing a lot. I've been hanging out with the doggies some too, while Mommy does some homework. Mostly because there's less for me to get into downstairs, and I keep entertained by the doggies!! They have been really good with me. We usually go down there after lunch so they can lick all the left overs off me!! And then they are happy and just lay there and let me crawl all over them (well, mostly just Mowgli! Piper goes and lays in the corner!) Tomorrow I get to spend all day with Daddy while Mommy goes on a trip with her class. I love Daddy time!! And then Spring Break is coming up - With Lots To DO!! Have a fun-filled weekend everyone!!

Happy March!! Mommy told me that March is coming in like a lion and a lamb!! Cuz yesterday was lamb day - it was beautiful, 75 degrees, sunny and so pretty!! But today it's cold, snowy, and the wind is really nasty!! But that's Colorado for ya - if you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes!! Yesterday I got to hang out with Katy all day while Mommy and Daddy went hiking. They went to Grey Rock, here's a picture of it Mommy took for me!
They hiked all day long, and they were really tired when they got home. Daddy made it all the way to the top, but Mommy got too tired. She said she's very out of shape since I came along! Guess that means I'll have to whip her into shape!! But I wish that Daddy would have taken the camera to the top, so I could see the view too, he said it was really pretty. It was such a nice day that they were both hiking in t-shirts, and got a little sun burned. I went to the playground with Katy and we were on the swings for a long time!! It's so crazy that I wore a onsie and knit pants yesterday, and today I'm back to being all bundled up in my Ewok suit to go outside!! I'm ready for spring!!

I hope you like the new stuff on the website!! Mommy made the slideshow, and will update it about every month or so with new pictures she says. Also, she told me to tell you all that she's trying to catch up on some videos too. She added some more, but most of them are a couple of months old. So check them out if you haven't yet! Once we fix and update our computer we will have room for all the videos and she'll do more with them!

I'm so excited for all the stuff coming up!! In two weeks Mommy has Spring Break!! And there's a lot going on during her break: Palm Sunday, St. Patrick's Day (Mommy's going to take me to the Parade!!), Good Friday (Yeah-Daddy gets the day off!!) and Easter!! March sounds like a fun Month!! - Oh yeah and Happy Birthday to Aunt Anna and Grandma Louie!! Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's Birthdays were last month, When's My Birthday Mommy??

Hi Everyone, guess where we went today!?!?! We went to Rocky Mountain National Park! It was snowing, and we had fun. Mommy and Daddy bundled me up and took me sledding!! Oh yeah, and Daddy got to try out his new snow shoes too. Here's some pictures from our trip:
The rest of this week wasn't as much fun though. You know how I was sick last weekend, well, I gave it to Mommy and Daddy too. Daddy came home from work after just a couple of hours on Mon, and stayed home Tuesday too. Then on Thursday Mommy started feeling yucky too. I sure am happy that they weren't sick at the same time though, cuz then I could still have someone to play with!! Mommy says I get closer to crawling everyday (and walking too!!) This week I showed everyone how I can sit up by myself, and I will take some steps if you hold my hands (but usually only with my right foot - my left one hasn't figured out how to bend and pick itself up yet!!) Before you know it I'm gonna be going everywhere, and getting into everything!! Mommy got me some new toys too! I have blocks now!! and some of them I can put in a giraffe's head and it rolls down to his feet and comes out and plays music!! I really like it!! (but I can't always get the block into his head) Well, I can't believe it's already the last week of February!! Boy time does fly!!

Sorry I'm so late in updating everyone! I was really sick this weekend. It was no fun. My first time being sick. I started throwing up Saturday morning, and I had a slight fever around 99.6 up until yesterday afternoon. But Mommy and Daddy took good care of me, so I'm doing much better now!! I still don't want to eat anything though, especially that yucky stuff mommy keeps giving me called Pedialyte!! bleeck!! But my fever's all gone, and I haven't thrown up since Saturday night. (Oh yeah, Saturday night Mommy and Daddy let me sleep in their room, that was fun!)

So here's what happened the rest of the week! Daddy took his trip, and I missed him a bunch!! But I got to stay with my friend Greg on Tuesday night while Mommy was at class. We had so much fun!! Greg's Mommy is going to send Mommy some pictures. Then Daddy came home on Thursday and I gave him a big hug!! Then we went out for Chinese food for Valentine's day. I'm getting closer to crawling, but I still prefer to just roll around (I'm starting to figure out that scooting backwards is a good thing too)! I got my third tooth (the other bottom one), and I can say ba-ba, and Doggie now!! Mommy took me to the doctor on Friday (of course it was before I got sick!!) and I just keep getting bigger!! I'm now 28 and 1/2 inches tall, and I weigh 18 lbs and 14 oz.!! But I've probably lost a little of that since I was so sick. Well, that's all that's going on around here. Hope everyone is doing good!! bye-bye!!

New Teeth and tons more!

Hi Everyone!! You're not going to believe this, but I'm on my way to getting my 3rd tooth!! That's right!! Mommy almost missed the 2nd one, because it is on top, above the one I already have. But I chewed on her finger a little to let her know it was there! So now I'm finally getting my other bottom one in. It hasn't broken the surface yet, but it probably will in the next couple of days.

The weather has been so nice here the last couple of days! Yesterday was so warm, Daddy wanted to go mountain biking. So we went, and he rode, and Mommy and I took a walk. We walked to a little cabin, and I had fun. I got to see horseys!! But on the way back the sun was in my eyes, so I cried a lot until Mommy gave me her sunglasses!!

Daddy didn't have as much fun though because the trail was too muddy for him to enjoy it. He said he did a lot of walking. Sorry Daddy. We were going to go snowshoeing today too, (well Mommy and Daddy were), but they wanted to rent a covered sled to put me in, and it was out for repairs. Plus, Mommy and Daddy say we have to save money so I can't stay with Katy on long days like that. Also, when we went on the walk Mommy forgot to put diaper cream in the bag to take with us. so by the time we got home I had a pretty yucky diaper rash!! It hurt so bad - I screamed a lot when Mommy tried to clean me. So she let me go diaper free for a while last night!! That was fun!! and I was really good too - only pee-peeing once on the blanket! And my rash is MUCH MUCH better today!! It doesn't hurt anymore, it's just a little pink. (but you can see in the picture last night my bottom was as red as my shirt!)

Daddy is going on another trip this week for work. :( Mommy and I are going to miss him. But at least it's only for a couple of days. He's going to Independence, Missouri. Well that's it for now. Talk to ya later!!

Happy Groundhog's Day!

Happy Groundhog's Day everyone!! Not a whole lot has changed since last week, except that I'm 8 Months old now!! I'm such a big boy!! I still don't have anymore teeth, but the one I got keeps getting bigger and bigger! And I still haven't figured out the crawling thing. I have figured out that if I lean forward when I'm sitting I can get my butt off the ground, but I haven't made it quite to my knees yet. And if I go too far, I just flop on my belly!! Here's a picture of me: Daddy's using the remote as motivation, cuz he never lets me have it!
I can stand up really good though!! Sometimes I even let go for a second. Mommy taught me how to fall on my bottom so that it doesn't hurt (there's lots of diaper padding there!!) I'm even starting to pick up my feet a little when I'm standing!! Mommy says they are not really steps yet because I haven't figured out how to move them! Also, I can't get my Jeep to go!! I sit in it, and make all the noises a Jeep makes, but it just won't go anywhere!?!?! Here's me standing like a big boy all by myself! I may be growing, but I'm still just as skinny as ever!! The only part of me with any "meat" is my legs!! Mommy says I got her chubby thighs, but I definately got Daddy's butt. You can't see it under all that diaper, but there's not much there!! I go to the Doctor again in a couple of weeks, so then we'll know how much I weigh for sure.
Well, I'd love to stay and chat some more, but it's my bedtime!! Grandma Louie sent me lots of books!! So I get new stories at bed time!! Have a good weekend everyone!! Night-night!

all about ME!!

Check out my new tooth!! Can you see it? If not, I think you can click on the picture to make it bigger! Mommy took this picture earlier this week, so my tooth is already bigger now than in the picture. My second one hasn't come through yet, but it should be soon. I have been so snotty, and drooly the last 2 days. And Mommy says I have been cranky, but I think I'm doing pretty good, considering!! She has been giving me lots of tylenol, and Motrin so that really helps!! But I still woke up a bunch last night.

Also, I can say three words now! Ma ma (even though I don't say it very much any more), Da-da (which I say ALLLLLL the time!!), and Kitty, which actually comes out ki-ee. Mommy's got such a busy schedule with school we have to get up super early!! Mommy says this semester is going to be her toughest. I hope she has enough time for me! Well, it's warming up here in Colorado, I hope we can start going for walks again!

My First Tooth!!!

Guess what!?!?! I have a Tooth Now!!!! It came through this morning!! Mommy said she knew it was coming because my gums have been really red and swollen the last week or so, and then yesterday she could see a white spot, but it didn't break through the last layer until this morning. It's my bottom left tooth, and it seems like the bottom right will be close behind it, Mommy says that she's already seeing the same signs for that one. She tried to get a picture for everyone, but I wouldn't cooperate very well!! hehe!! I'm sure she'll get a good one in a couple of weeks when I get used to this funny thing in my mouth and quit playing with it with my tongue!!! Daddy tried to give me dinner last night but I kept flicking it on him with my tongue, because I wanted to feel this new thing in my mouth at every bite!! He didn't think it was very funny!!

Mommy wants me to tell everyone that Mo-Mo's doing much better, too! Still no seizures, and he's getting used to his medicine too. He's starting to play with Piper again, and meet me at the top of the stairs every morning. But he still stumbles down them sometimes, and isn't very fast at reacting to things. We think he's gonna be alright!!

Mommy starts school on Tuesday. :( So I get to visit Katy again in the mornings. She came and stayed with me this earlier this week cuz Mommy had jury duty. Oh and Greg from across the street came to visit me this week too! He's so big, he's almost as big as me!!! and he's only 3 months old!! But that's cuz I'm really long and skinny like a giraffe, and he's cute and chubby like all the normal babies!! (at least that's what mommy says!) Have a good weekend everyone!!

Many Updates!

Hello from Sunny Colorado!! I thought I would give everyone another update on Riley! Things are going great with him. He's eating quite a bit of solid foods now, we moved into stage 2's and he seems to like everything except green beans and peas. But he will eat them if we mix them with something else. We even tried some of Mommy and Daddy's mashed potatoes last night (watered down of course), and he did ok, but wasn't too thrilled about them! He got another haircut this weekend, and Mommy went shorter this time so that we won't have to do another one for a while (hopefully!)

He's starting to roll around to get toys that are out of his reach, but only if he's already laying down. He's not quite brave enough to get down from a sitting postition. And he is very anxious about pulling up on the couch and coffee table. If he's sitting in our lap he can pull himself up but he hasn't figured out the coordination that it takes from the floor!! And once he's standing he'll stay for a while by himself, leaning on the table. He's growing up!!

Another update I thought everyone might want to know: Mowgli has been diagnosed with Epilepsy. He started having seizures on Sunday, and we have spent the last few days taking him from emergency clinics to vets to neurologists to find the cause, which is still largely unknown. He is currently seizure free, but on MASSIVE amounts of medication. We've started backing off the meds today to see how he does and hopefully the seizures will not return. It has been a rough couple of days, watching him go through this, and dealing with the side effects of the meds (constant barking, whining, and howling - even through the night) but he has improved greatly over the last 12 hours!! He will most likely have to take medication the rest of his life, which could be a while since he's only 2 years, but we feel it's worth it for him to have any kind of quality to life. Poor Mo-Mo!!!

He's starting to get back to his ol' self again though. He can relax on his own now (laying down, not barking - as you can see in the picture), and he will even respond to his name and sit on command - which is important to show no brain damage. He's still walking aimlessly in circles (and into walls) in a drug-drunk stupor, but he still comes to you for a good ear scratchin'!! Hopefully he will continue to improve, and be the wonderful friend and guardian he has been!!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year Everyone!! I have a feeling that 2008 is going to be a great year!! Mommy and Daddy didn't let me stay up to watch the ball drop, but that's ok!! Mommy says that she and Daddy barely stayed awake!! I guess that's what happens when I put them on a schedule!! hehe!! What's new with me? Well let's see . . . I love to talk!! I babble all the time. I really like saying stuff with b's and m's (ba bo bu, ma, etc.) and I just learned the "th" sound so I sound like a hissing snake a lot!! Daddy's sad cuz I still won't say Da, or Da-Da. But that's about it! I'm really happy that I get to spend almost three whole weeks more with Mommy before she goes back to school. Her classes don't start until after MLK day. We are having so much fun!! And she's enjoying relaxing with having only 1 full time job (me)! Well I hope everyone is working hard on their new year's resolutions!! Have a great 2008!! (hey that rhymes!!) ;)

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone!! Riley had such an exciting morning, he's taking a nap now!! Santa Claus came and left him a lot of presents!! He got lots of new toys, some new clothes, and a bunch of books too!! But his favorite (and Daddy's too) is the Jeep Walker!!

He hasn't quite figured out that he can move around in it, but we're sure he will soon, especially on the kitchen floor. Daddy got some neat gifts too, including some snowshoes and a off-road kit for the Jeep. Mommy got some scrapbooking stuff, clothes and a new cool tri-pod. But her favorite gift came last night, when Riley said his first word!!! It was MA-MA!!!! Yeah!!! (of course now he says it all the time non-stop!!) He is really becoming quite the talker!! We were very proud of him, last night he was a perfect angel during church, hardly a peep out of him!! but then again it helped that they turned down the lights and he slept during the sermon. (like father like son!!) Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas!! We're sorry we couldn't spend it in Indy with everyone, but it's nice to have a Christmas in Colorado finally!! (which by the way is white - it's snowing pretty hard right now!!) Merry Christmas and God Bless!!

Boy!! Is it good to be home!! I missed my daddy so much!!! But I had a lot of fun in Indy with all of my other family too! Mommy was so proud of me for behaving on both flights, even with a delay on the one to Indy. It was a little scary at first, seeing all these people I don't remember all at once - but I soon realized that Mommy wasn't going to leave me, and these people are good, and fun to be with!! I got lots of new toys!! This Christmas thing is pretty cool, I'll have to remember it for next year!! Mommy says the trip was exhausting (cuz Daddy didn't get to come), but she was glad that we took it! She also says that there's lots of people we didn't get to see, and she's very sorry! Next year, Mommy graduates, so everyone can come to our house for Christmas in one big celebration!! Be sure to look at the Kodak gallery of all the pictures from Indy!!

I had my first taste of fruit this week. I had bananas!! It was quite an experience! The first bite I didn't know what to think - so I just let it sit in my mouth for a while. but then I decided it was ok and ate a whole bunch. Then towards the end, I think I realized that it wasn't what I was used to, and started making funny faces and spitting it out. Here's some pictures of my first bananas:

Christmas Tree

So we went this weekend and got our Christmas Tree. But it wasn't as much fun as Mommy had said it would be! There was a big storm in the mountains. Everything started off fine, just a little cold and snowy, but after looking for a tree for about a half hour we heard some thunder. Then it started snowing REALLY hard, sleeting and the wind was blowing really hard!! So Mommy and Daddy picked me up off my sled and we hid in some thick trees for a little bit to get out of the wind. Here's me and Daddy hiding:

So we finally decided to go back to the car, look for something on the way out, and if we didn't find anything we would come back the next weekend. But we stopped one more time, and Daddy went out looking while Mommy and I waited in the shelter of the car. And he found the Perfect Tree!! So we went out, took a few quick pictures, Daddy cut it super quick, and ran back to the car!!
It's a pretty tree, and it fits perfectly in the living room. But it's still bigger than the amount of lights and tinsle that we had, so Mommy had to go buy some more!! Daddy measured it and it's about 10 feet tall!! It's a good thing we have vaulted ceilings!! Mommy had to get out the big ladder to decorate it!

Only one more week until we are in INDY!! Yeah!!!

Guess what!! I got my sled!! Check me out - aren't I just the cutest thing!! Mommy and Daddy took me up to the mountains last weekend to get some pictures, and I got to play!! Daddy pulled me around in the Deeeeeeepppp snow!! It was so cold out, but I was nice and cozy in all the layers that Mommy made me wear!

I like to drag my hands in the snow, but Mommy doesn't like that - she thinks my hands will get too cold! I get to play in my sled again this weekend, cuz we are gonna go pick out our Christmas tree!!! Yeah!! I want a really really really big tree - like Daddy, but Mommy says no. She says she doesn't want the tree taking up half the living room, plus we don't have enough lights and tinsle for it if its too big. Mommy's glad that I'm not crawling yet so that she doesn't have to babyproof the tree. In fact, Mommy and Daddy don't think that I will crawl at all - they think I will just go straight into walking (because of how much I hate being on my tummy so I never get to practice). But I'll show them - HA!!

So I went to the Doctor for my 6 month check up today!!! Hard to believe that I'm half a year old already huh!! I'm so big!! I weigh 16 lbs, and 4 1/2 oz. and I'm already 27 1/4 inches!!! I'm just Mommy's little Giraffe!! Dr. says that everythings good, and I can start regular meals and foods now!! That means Fruit!!!

Only one more week of missing Mommy!! She has so many projects that she's always working on. But they will all be done really soon!! and then we get to go to INDY!! Yeah!! I get to see Grandpa and Grandmas again!! (oh yeah, and everyone else too) :) What a busy time of year!!

Snow!!!

Yeah!! Snow!!! Guess what! We got about 3 inches of snow last night, so me and Mommy went out to play in it today!! Here's some pictures of me in the snow!

But Piper doesn't like the cold, or Mowgli running around, so she just sits by the door and waits to be let in. Party Pooper!
We had so much fun, until Mo-Mo got snow on me. Mommy said that she wants to get me a sled to pull me around in the snow when we go get our Christmas Tree. That sounds like fun!!

Hi Everyone!!! Things are going good here in "Riley Land"!! I am getting to be such a big boy!! You wouldn't believe it! Mommy says that 5 Months is my Magic Number - because everything has changed for me!! Here's just a few things that I do now:

Love My Paci!!! Mommy got me some new ones too!

Love my Baths!! I like to kick my legs and splash the water!! (Check out those ears!!)
Sit up all by my self!!! (but usually only when I have a toy in front of me)
I'm Such a Big Boy!! Turkey Day is coming - and some snow -Finally!! Daddy is sad though, because it probably won't be a lot of snow for us in town, but maybe in the mountains!! Mommy and Daddy have already made plans to take me up there for some pictures next weekend. Mommy got me a cute little Santa Suit to take some pictures for Christmas cards in, but the hat was too small for my big ol' head - so she just made me one!! Didn't she do a good job!! (Daddy wants one now too!) She got enough fabric to make a stocking for me that matches. I can't wait for Christmas!! In two weekends Mommy and Daddy are taking me to Red Feather Lakes to cut down my first Christmas tree!!! Yeah!!! I'm so excited!! It will be so much fun!!

Hey everyone!!! Look at me!! I can roll over now!!! Look at me go!! Yesterday Mommy refused to help me, ;_( so I decided that I had better learn how to do this all by my self!! So I did!! Now if I can just figure out how to go the other way!?!? I had a fun weekend! I spent a lot of time with Daddy while Mommy worked on a big project for school. We had so much fun! We went shopping, and played, and Daddy let me take naps on him! (Mommy doesn't do that anymore). Last night we went to a Thanksgiving Dinner Party at Mommy's friend Leslie's House, and I was the center of attention!! But Mommy and Daddy wouldn't let me have any turkey. I can't wait until I'm done with all this cereal stuff and I can eat Mommy and Daddy food!! Thank goodness Mommy only has a couple more weeks of school for this semester - I miss her!! It seems like she's always busy!! But I like it when I get to go to school with her to work - there's lots of nice people there to play with!! Mommy calls them professors! Whoever they are, they are always happy to see me!! I still haven't cut a tooth yet, but the pain isn't so bad right now. It kinda comes and goes, but I still like my "popsicle" toy!! Mommy gives me an ice cube in it every morning - and it's yummy!!

First Real Food!!

Guess what I got!! I got to eat real food this week - well, kinda real! I had some Rice Cereal. It was yummy!! I didn't eat a lot the first day, because Mommy had just fed me and I wasn't really hungry, but yesterday I was hungry - and I ate a lot!! There's a new video of it, and here's my first bite:

But I think I liked the bib best!!
Also, I'm cutting my first tooth! It is very painful, and I scream a lot!! Mommy doesn't like that. Thanks to Auntie Adrianne for all the help!! I love my new "Popsicle" treat!! I suck on three or four ice cubes a day in it!! I also like it because it's nice and messy - just like me!! hehehe. Well, things are getting busy again. Mommy has a lot of work to do at school for the next few weeks, so she says I get to play with Daddy and Katy a lot for a while!! Yeah!!! But as soon as she's all done, we are taking another trip to Indy to visit!! My Grandmas and Grandpas will be so surprised at how big I am!!
