Well, my house is quiet and lonely now. All of our visitors from Christmas left this morning. I had a lot of fun with everyone!! We did a lot! After Mommy's graduation stuff we went "sight-seeing" in the area to show everyone. One day we went up to Horsetooth Reservoir and to all Mommy's open spaces, another day we went up the Poudre Canyon. And Mommy and Daddy went snowshoeing one day while I stayed home with everyone. They had a bunch of fun!! They went up the Big South Trail, which follows the Poudre River into Rocky Mountain National Park, but they didn't go that far. Here's Mommy testing out her new Snowshoes:

Christmas was great!! We went to church Christmas Eve, and then I went to bed early so Santa could come, and he did!! He left me a TON of presents!! In fact there were so many that he had to give me a wagon too, just so he could get them all to me!! I love all my presents, and I play with them a lot!! Here's what our tree looked like on Christmas morning!
Today after everyone left, Mommy and I went for a test ride with my new wagon. it was such a warm day, I just wore a sweatshirt jacket!! Imagine that!! Almost 60 degrees in late December!!

But as exciting as these last couple of weeks have been, I'm Pooped!! I miss everyone already, but it's nice to take a nap and relax too. I hope I get to see them all again soon!! I wonder what me and Mommy are going to do all by ourselves now that no one else is here and she doesn't have school to go to! Well have a Happy New Year Everyone, and if you need it too, take a nice long nap!!

Hi Everyone!! Sorry for the delayed update!! We have been having so much fun here with everyone. Last Friday Mommy Graduated!!! Yeah, she's all done!! Here she is walking in:
And me and Daddy with her afterwards! Turns out she hasn't officially graduated yet, because one of her professors didn't have time to read her paper, so he gave her an incomplete until he can change it and give her a letter grade!! hahaha!! He told her that might happen. Then we did Christmas early with Grandma and Grandpa Louie. Mommy made them a Bragbook of all ME so they can show me off to everyone!!
They gave me some really cool toys, and I haven't stopped playing with them yet!! (I think I'm driving Mommy and Daddy Crazy!!)

I can't wait until Christmas is really here and Santa comes, I've been a good boy, so I should get lots more toys!! Talk to you all later!

Happy Graduation to Mommy!!! She is now done with all her schoolwork. She turned in her last paper this morning. She still has to go to a Final, but there's no test, so it doesn't really count. It's just a regular class meeting, but the professor is taking attendance. So all she has to do is show up! Yay!!

It's is SOOOOOO cold here!! Yesterday it was only in the 'teens, and last night it got down to -19 degrees!! And the windchill was -36 degrees!!! So Mommy and Daddy let me sleep with them last night so that I would stay warm. It's only supposed to be 9 degrees at the highest today, and tonight it will get down to 2 degrees. But tomorrow is supposed to be a balmy 27 degrees!! It's gonna be like that all week this week. The warmest day is Wednesday, and it's gonna break the above freezing mark at 33 degrees!! So if you're coming to visit for Mommy's graduation or Christmas, you better bring some really warm clothes!! Mommy bundled me up all tight today to go and turn in her paper. I had on Boots with my wool socks, Fleece lined pants, my winter coat, hat and mittens, and a blanket on me in the stroller. Thankfully she was able to find a spot in the meters and we didn't have to walk too far.

We got so much done this weekend!! Mommy and Daddy finally got a picture on our big wall in the living room. It's one that we took when we were in Telluride and Ouray this summer. It's a pretty picture and it only cost them about $60 to get it blown up and framed!! And we got lots of cleaning done that we had fallen behind on cuz we've been so busy. We are now ready for everyone to come visit!! Grandma Wilson and Unkie Rodgie & Auntie Kathie come on Wednesday, and then Grandma and Grandpa Louie come on Friday!! I'm so excited to see them all again!! Well, there's a lot going on the next couple of weeks, but I'll try to update everyone as much as I can, with pictures too! Look for pictures this weekend of Mommy's Graduation!! Talk to ya later, and stay warm everyone!!

So much has happened this week!! Let's see, where to start!? Monday Mommy and I did some Christmas Shopping, then Tuesday was a regular day for Mommy at school. Oh yeah, but she did find out that the only final she has to take is now going to be a Take Home Test, and she gets it on Friday before Finals week!! Yeah - no Cramming!! Then on Wednesday Mommy took me to get my hair cut - I have ears again!! On Wednesday I went for my 18 month check up (can you believe that I'm 18 months already!!) Anyways I weigh 24 1/4 lbs, and I'm 34 inches tall. But the real kicker is my head!! Apparently my head is so big that the Dr. remeasured it cuz she thought the nurse was wrong!! But I also had to get three shots, and that was no fun! (one was a flu shot) But I got Bugs Bunny Band aids, and I had lots of fun sticking them to things when we got home!! (like Mommy's face) hehehe

Also on Wednesday it started snowing (this is after it was in the 60's on Tuesday), and it just kept right on snowing!! We ended up getting about 5-6 inches and it was so pretty!! Thursday night we got a fog too, and it left pretty crystals all over everything - Check out our Aspen Tree (on the left) and the bushes in front of our house, all Frosty!

Mommy also got her hair cut on Thursday, (and Daddy got his cut last weekend) so we will all look spiffy for the Holidays!! Nothing really exciting happened on Friday. But today we went to cut down our Christmas Tree!!! It was so much fun!! The weather was perfect, sunny and warm (for middle of December at 8-9,000 ft.) We looked and looked and found a couple of nice trees, but Daddy decided that he wanted to get a Spruce tree this year instead of the usual Lodgepole. So we found the perfect spot with lots of Spruce trees. The trouble was finding one that wasn't to skimpy on branches!! But we found one we all liked, and Daddy cut it right down!! Then Mommy decorated it this evening. We had to be very careful with the decorations cuz the branches aren't as strong as on a lodgepole, so we don't have any heavy ornaments on there, and there's not too many. But we did get lights, tinsle, and and angel on top! The tinsle is my favorite - it's so shiny!! I don't know why Mommy and Daddy won't let me play with it?!?!

Well, Mommy only has one more week of classes (but she has 2 big reports due). And then the week after that she GRADUATES!!! And I get to see lots of Family people!! YEAH!! And then the week after that - SANTA COMES!!! And we get to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus!! YEAH!! So much exciting stuff going on!! Have a good week everyone!!

Happy Holidays!!

Holiday Season has arrived!! I'm so excited!! I hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving! I did - I am very thankful for . . . Mommy, and Daddy, and my blanky and paci, and Grandma Louie, and Grandpa Louie, and Grandma Wilson, and all my aunts and uncles, and my doggies, and my kitty, and . . . lots of other stuff!!! I had such a good Thanksgiving with Mommy and Daddy! Daddy made the turkey, with a new recipe from Mommy, it used some new herbs that I have never had before, but it was yummy!! And then Mommy made everything else, including a Chocolate Pumpkin Pie!! Yum Yum!! Here's me eating some of my dinner:

We also hung up our Christmas lights. Our house looks so pretty now!! We hung icicle lights on the top of the porch and garage out front, then Mommy put lighted garland on the porch railings. She also put lights on our little juniper tree, and got three "pathway trees" with lights too! Today, like we try to do every year on the weekend after Thanksgiving, we went up into the mountains to take some pictures for our Christmas cards. But we didn't get too many pictures, because Mommy left my coat off for the long car ride up to the pass, but then found out that she really left it at home!!! Can you believe it!! So we bundled me up in blankets for about 3 pictures and that's it!! But it was really pretty in the mountains. It was snowing really lightly, and everything was covered. Mommy was so mad that she forgot my coat, because we could have gotten some really good pictures.

But we did get to see some Big Horn Sheep, about 10 of them were licking the ice in the middle of the road!! Here's a picture of the ram. The rest were ewes, or mommies, and two babies.

Daddy said that we will try to get some more pictures next weekend when we got up to Red Feather Lakes to cut our Christmas Tree!! Yippee!! I'm so excited!! I hope it's not as cold as it was last year! I can't believe that Christmas is almost here!! Mommy and Daddy are almost done with their shopping already (and no black friday excursions either!!) I wonder what Santa will bring me!?! And Mommy's almost done with her school. Just 5 more class days, and 1 final, and that's it!! She's been working so hard!! I'll be happy when she's done too!! Well - til next time!!

Hi There! Riley's taking a nap so I thought I would sneak in some info! We have been having beautiful weather here the last few days. It started over the weekend and I was very glad to see it for my trip to Red Mountain Open Space. Just a little background info for you guys, its about 15,000 acres and connects with two other open spaces (owned by the City of Fort Collins and the City of Cheyenne), making it a huge tract of protected land. Most of the property is rolling hills and hogbacks, but there are some really beautiful canyons and ridges. And because of the elevation changes the views are breathtaking!! You can see forever!! I uploaded the pictures to a Kodak Gallery, so if you haven't already seen them - take a look! The property will have 9 miles of trails to start, and they have numerous other trails in the plans if there are enough people visiting it to make them worth while. However, most of the property will never be open to the public (for various reasons - lack of intrest, resource protection, future sale to conservation buyer, etc). I was lucky because these closed areas were what I got to see on Saturday!! (that's the perks of knowing the rangers!!) So enjoy the pics, and hopefully I can add to them if I get to work there next year!!
This week Riley and I have spent quite a bit of time at the playground, it was near 80 degrees yesterday!! Today we made a fort in the living room, and he had a blast!! He spent nearly an hour crawling and walking in and out of it! I love how entertaining new things are!! Here's some pictures of his adventure!!

He is growing so quickly!! He now understands most everything we say, however, still refuses for the most part to talk. Don't get me wrong - He can babble like the best of them (especially when reading himself a story!) but doesn't want to repeat anything we try to get him to say. Most of the time he just whines to get what he wants, a bad habit we are trying to break! He consistantly says Da-Da, and even Daddy, but Kitty is the most common word out of his mouth. He still meows sometimes, and barks at dogs but sometimes he will say doggie. Other occasional words include cookie, cracker, ma-ma, and "hey-o" (when he's talking on his phone! so cute!!) He's a good boy for the most part (we have definately entered into toddlerhood and tantrums!!), but he can be a sweetheart when he wants to! He's very affectionate and loves giving Mommy and Daddy kisses, especially at night time and bye-byes. Also he loves helping Mommy with thing around the house, folding laundry, doing dishes, and feeding the doggies - which can be more of a curse than a blessing sometimes!! (Picture recently folded laundry in a heap on the floor, and dirty forks missing from the dishwasher container!!) As most mothers, I try to keep it positive and let him play with the basket, or close the dishwasher when we are done!! He really keeps us on our toes!!

I believe we have entered into the "playing pretend" phase. He loves to "eat imaginary food" out of empty bowls, and feed it to us!! He likes talking on the phone, reading to himself - it's so cute to be scared because there's no noise coming from upstairs, but when you go to check on him he's sitting in the rocking chair with a book, upsidedown, babbling!! He still loves playing peek-a-boo, and his trucks and cars. Now he varooms around the coffee table like an Indy car driver!! He also pretends with the vaccum cleaner or whatever the tool of the moment is!! He pulls on the toilet paper roll and "blows his nose" in it, and uses napkins to "clean up the mess" - even when there's no mess!! We are really looking forward to Christmas and the Holidays with him this year! Thanksgiving will be quiet again this year, but we plan on cutting our own tree again this year and so many other traditions we are excited to share with him!! Actually I'm just itching to get the decorations up!! (it a nice destraction from schoolwork)

I'm in the home stretch of school, just a paper and a test this week, then nothing until the week of Finals (One huge project/presentation, one more paper and one Final Exam!!) Almost there!! Cam is suppose to be planning the party, so we'll see how that turns out!! ;) I'll just be happy to be done!! And have family visit!! I hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Holiday Season!! because I'm sure you'll hear from Riley the most til Christmas!!

First Snow!!

IT FINALLY SNOWED!!! Usually we have our first snow of the season in the middle of October, but this year it was really late. It came last night. Mommy and I went out to play in it this morning, and I'm glad we did, because it was all melted by lunchtime. Obviously we didn't get a lot, the weather people on TV said it was about a 10th of an inch. It didn't even stick to the sidewalks or streets, just the grass. Here's me playing in the snow, I wasn't quite sure what to think of it.

So after about 10 minutes we went back in and I watched the doggies and kitty play in it. They seemed like they were having more fun than me!!
Tomorrow Mommy's going on a ride along with one of her supervisors at work to Red Mountain Open Space. It's the new open space opening next summer up by the Wyoming border. It sounds like a really neat place, and Mommy really wants to work there next summer, so she's getting a Private Tour!! She's so excited!! She'll have to tell you all about it next week. Other than that not a whole lot going on, just waiting for Thanksgiving!! It's just going to be me and Mommy and Daddy this year. But Mommy's got some new recipes that she wants to try out (I hope they aren't yucky!!) talk to ya later!! and stay warm everyone!

Wheelin!!

Hey everyone - last weekend, Mommy and Daddy took me wheelin' with Daddy's friend Shane. We went to the St. Vrain River in Boulder County. It was really bumpy, but it was fun!! We got to go through a lot of water, and I mean a LOT!!! We also went to a plane crash site. Here's some pictures from our trip. Mommy took lot's of videos too, but she hasn't had time to upload them yet.

Mommy only has 4 weeks of classes left, 5 weeks including finals, and 6 weeks until graduation!!! (that includes her week off for Thanksgiving) She's so excited!!! I'll be glad when she's done - I won't have to spend so much time at Ginny's house. Mommy's got a big paper and a presentation due this week, so she's been working extra hard, and I've been at Ginny's a lot this week. But it's all almost over!! Don't forget to keep your eyes peeled for thoose wheelin videos the next couple days!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

I have come to the conclusion that I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!! It was so much fun!! As you can see I was Yoda this year. Thanks for guessing you guys!! You gave me some good ideas for next year!! So Mommy and I went trick-or-treating while Daddy stayed home to pass out candy. We just went up and down our street (one block only) but that was a lot of walking!! I was tired by the time we got back home - you can see so in the video that Mommy took!! But I got a good amount of candy for just a few houses!! (Which Daddy wasted no time in digging into when I got home!!) Mommy was so cool though - and let me have some tonight!! I got a sucker and a Twizzler - YUMMY!! Those were my firsts tastes of candy (other than the little bit of sucker I got into on the ride home from the pumpkin patch - hehehe). Mommy worked really hard on getting me to say "Candy" all week (she thought Trick-or-Treat might be too much), and every once in a while I would say it, but other times I just didn't feel like it! Mommy said I did catch on to the whole Idea of Trick-or-treating real fast though!! I don't know what's so hard about it - Mommy would say trick-or-treat for me, then I would take the candy and put it in my pumpkin, and walk away, ready for the next house!! That's easy enough!!

Well anyways, it was fun!! And I hope everyone else had a fun and safe Halloween!! Enjoy the pictures and video!!

Pumpkin Patch!

Today Mommy and I went to the Pumpkin Patch!!! It was so much fun!! My Friend Greg came over to play last week and told me about this really great pumpkin patch, so I told Mommy we just have to go there to get our pumpkins this year!! They had so many pumpkins!! All different shapes and colors!! Here's the cool display of the different kinds that they had. Can you find me in the picture - I blend in pretty good!!

Here's me with the display. Some of those pumpkins were WAY bigger than me!! I really wanted to take one of those home, but Mommy said no. (I just woke up from a nice car-nap, that's why I'm not smiling).

We picked out three pumpkins, a little one for me, and two bigger ones for Mommy and Daddy. And we also got some teeny tiny pumpkins and gourds too!! The place gives free hayrides to the patch if you want to go out there to pick your pumpkin, but since I was sick with a fever this weekend, Mommy didn't want me going all the way out there. :(

We will probably carve them on Wednesday night, so that they don't get too rotten for Halloween. I have my costume now!!! It's a size 2T-4T and it's almost too small!! But I really like it!! I'm not telling what it is though!! I'll just give you a hint - instead of saying "Trick or Treat", I should probably say "Treat or Trick" . . .

Leave a note in the comments if you want to guess what I'm going to be!!

We're Home!!

We had a great trip to Indy last weekend!!! Mommy and Daddy said that I did really good on the plane rides. The guy sitting next to us on the way home even gave me a compliment for being such a good traveller. I had so much fun with all my family!! On Friday I went with Mommy to her old work and got to play with lots of big kid stuff!! I colored a pretty picture for Adrianne on her window seat!! Mommy said that she hopes it comes off, but I hope it stays forever!!! Then I got to hang out at Grandma Wilson's for a little bit. I pulled out her fireplace doors and made a huge mess of the ashes, but Mommy cleaned it up with the vacuum. I like playing with the vacuum!!
Then Friday night I got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Louie while Mommy and Daddy went to Daddy's 10 year reunion. They said it was kinda not fun though, cuz the food was no good, and the music was so loud that no one could talk and catch up! They should have stayed home with us and played!!
Then on Saturday we went to see Mommy and Daddy's Friend Jason, the Police officer that was shot in July. He's doing really good!! We went out to eat with him, and talked for a while!! He's a really nice man, and he laughed at me when I did silly stuff!! We had fun!! Then Satuday night I stayed with Aunt Anna and Grandma Wilson. I had so much fun playing with Aunt Anna!!! She gave me lot's of fun things to play with!! But she wouldn't let me play with her computer, I don't know why!! Oh well!! Sunday I went to church at Mommy's old church, and then to Daddy's old church. It was a long time at church, but I did really good, and got to meet lots of people that Mommy and Daddy know. Then My aunts and uncles and cousins came over for dinner. I really liked playing with my cousins Maddie and Vanessa!! They were really nice to me and played lots of games!! I might even get to stay with them when Mommy and Daddy go to China - that would be so cool!!

Monday we went to Brown County State Park. It was my first time. We went to see the fall colors, cuz we don't get pretty colors like that in Colorado, but the leaves hadn't all changed yet. Oh well, we had fun anyways!! We hiked around Strahl lake, and played at a playground, and at a cabin with lots of leaves on the ground. I had so much fun!! And then we got ice cream!! My Favorite!!

Monday night we went to Unkie Rodgie's house for dinner! I had fun playing with all the stuff on his tables!! I also found some new toys at Grandma Louie's house!! This is my daddy's old toy tractor that he used to play with in his sandbox. Now I'm playing with it!! In fact, I played with it the whole weekend!! I carried it with me everywhere!!

I really liked going to visit everyone in Indy. I hope I can do it again soon!! Mommy says probably not for a while, though, cuz everyone is coming here for Christmas, so it won't be until next year. Well, anyways - I can't wait!!

Oh yeah - do you like the new blog!!! A lot of Mommy's Friends with blogs have been using different backgrounds from this site Cutest Blog on the Block, so she thought she'd give it a try!! She's still trying to find one that she likes, so this one is just temporary!! Let us know what you think!! Enjoy the pictures everyone!!

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Oh My Goodness!!! So much is happening in October!! My, I have a lot to catch everyone up on!! Well let's see, I went to my friend Greg's birthday party, and it was a lot of fun!! He had a baseball party and his Mommy made him a great big baseball cake!! It was pretty cool!
I also went to the CSU Homecoming Parade. Mommy was in it!! She was walking with the other Larimer County Rangers. Daddy didn't get a picture of her, but He took some video. Mommy says she'll try to get that up in the next couple of days. But here's one of me watching the parade. I liked the parade - I watched the whole thing very intently!! It was fun!! But Mommy and Daddy ate all the candy I got! boo-hoo!!

You guys would not believe how big I'm getting!! I've grown almost three inches since my birthday!! Here's a picture of me wearing a size 2T shirt that Unkie Rodgie got me last year.

Mommy and Daddy took me shopping to get some new warmer clothes. Most everything is 18 months, but for jammies we had to get 24 months - cuz I'm just so tall. Pretty much anything that is a one piece (not just a shirt or pants) has to be a size bigger!! I also got a cute little hat that matches my winter coat. Isn't it fun!!! I just love to wear my hats around the house!! It has matching mittens too, but I don't think I like those too much yet!

Well, Still more excitement to come!! Thursday we leave for Indy!! We are going there for a short visit, but it will be nice to see my Grandmas and Grandpas again!! So look next week for lots of pictures from our visit!! And then comes Halloween!!! I get to go trick-or-treating this year!! (to just a couple houses). Just wait til you see what I'm going dressed as!!!

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

Well September has come and gone!! Now for October!!! We have a pretty busy month ahead!! This weekend is Mommys first weekend off in practically forever! But she won't be able to spend any time with Me and Daddy, cuz she has to go on field trips for her classes. She's even going to be late for my friend Greg's birthday party on Saturday (he's turning 1!!). Then next weekend is the CSU Homecoming, and Mommy gets to BE IN the Parade!! She is walking with the other Rangers from Larimer County, and I can't wait to see her!! They are making a float and everything!! Then the weekend after that - WE GO TO INDY FOR A VISIT!!! I'm so happy!! I haven't seen Grandma Wilson and Aunt Anna in such a long time!! And I get to see Uncle Rodger too!! It's going to be so much fun!! Then not too long after that is Halloween!! We still haven't gotten me a costume yet. I think I'm going to be Yoda, but we'll have to see!!

Daddy's gone on his trip this week. Mommy and I miss him already!! It's lonely here in the evenings without him. But he'll be back on Friday, and maybe even early on Friday!! Come home soon Daddy!!

Oh yeah, and Mommy wants me to tell everyone that she's a firefighter now!! She got to put out her first wildfire last weekend. It was started by lightning on some property near the reservoir (ironically on one of our Ranger's land). It was only a brush fire about 20 or so yards in diameter, so her boss told her to get a shovel and put it out - so she did!! One of the supervisors helped her, and they had it about 50% contained by the time the Firefighters Brush Truck got there!! Yeah Mommy!! Here's some pictures of the Wildlands Fire Crew putting it out (after Mommy did all the work!! hehehe.

Friday, September 26, 2008

Hi there everyone!! Sorry for the delayed update!! We have been very busy the past couple of weeks. Daddy went on his trip, and made it back ok, and he only has 1 more trip to take this year!! Yeah!!! (well really it's 2 trips rolled into one, but oh well) He's going next week to LA for a day, and then directly to Branson Missouri for the rest of the week. Thank goodness this will be it!!
Grandma Wilson made it through her surgery just fine, and everything seems to be working according to plan!! Also, Mommy is still working at Horsetooth. They liked her so much they asked her to stay all winter!!! She said that it would only be on weekends, and mostly she would be working in the gatehouse. But she wanted to spend more time with me and Daddy, so they agreed to let her work only every other weekend, and share the position with someone else. So it works out perfectly!!
Also, I got to meet some of my Mommy's family this week. I met my Great-Uncles Bud and PJ, and my Great-Aunts Elaine and Cindy!! They met us in Old Town last week for dinner, and this week Mommy and I went up to the cabin to see them. I had fun at the cabin, except for the part where I fell out the door and bonked my head!! But I got to play dominoes with Aunt Cindy, and play peek-a-boo out the window with Aunt Elaine. We took a hike to the waterfall, and ran into an angry nest of yellow jackets!! Poor Aunt Elaine and Uncle Bud got the worst of them!! Here's some pictures of our visit:
Uncle Bud, Aunt Cindy, Aunt Elaine and me at the falls
(hehe - I already have all the ladies' attention!!)
Me and Uncle PJ
(Mommy says I have to beat up on him now while I'm still little enough - cuz when I get older he's gonna get me!!)

And one more thing - a while ago Daddy took me and his friend Shane off-roading at Kelly Flats to attempt to conquer a tough section of trail called the chutes. Well, he did it, but forgot to take a camera or video camera to prove it!! So thankfully someone there got it on tape and finally sent it to Daddy. We put the video up for everyone to see, but be forewarned - it's not for the squeamish!! (oh, and don't worry, I was standing outside with Shane, not in the Jeep with Daddy!!)

Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Hey everyone, Just a quick note today, nothing big going on here! Mommy took me to see the lady that does her hair today, and she found my head!! (ha ha she just gave me a haircut!!) Mommy was getting frustrated with my hair, she said I was beginning to look like one of the Beatles!! You can decide - here's a before picture:
and here's the after:
Now my hair is shorter than Piper's, and it was longer than Mowgli's!! hehe!!
Not much else is going on. But I want everyone to pray for my Grandma Wilson - She's having some surgery done tomorrow. It's not anything really major, and she should be home by Friday, but keep her in you thoughts! I can't wait to see her next month!! Talk to ya all later!!

Thursday, September 04, 2008

So the videos are up now!! It isn't all of the ones we took, but you can get an idea of what our trip was like!! Like I said they are all of our drive up Imogene pass, or of the train ride. And Mommy wants to say sorry for taping through a buggy windshield!!

I hope everyone had a good holiday weekend!! We did. Mommy had to work, so Daddy and I went with her!! haha, we hiked up to the top of Horsetooth Rock. Mommy was going to come too, but along the way she found someone breaking the rules and had to take care of him. But Daddy and I made it all the way to the top!! 2.5 miles, and almost 2,000 ft of elevation change!! I'm so proud of Daddy for carrying me all the way to the top!!

Not much else going on, Mommy says that I get to meet my Great-Aunt Elaine and Great-Uncle PJ, and maybe a bunch more family in a couple of weeks!! That would be so exciting!! I can't believe that there's still people out there that I don't know!! And next week Daddy's going on a work trip to Virginia. I will miss him a bunch, and so will Mommy. Well, have a fun weekend everyone, and don't forget to watch our videos!!

Did you all like the Pictures!?!?! They are pretty cool huh?!?! We've got lots of vidoes too!! We just got our external hard-drive today, so as soon as Daddy sets it all up Mommy will upload the videos. Most of them are of us Wheelin', or of the train ride. So keep your eyes peeled!!

In other news - Mommy started school this week! Her last semester!!! She's taking 3 classes, but only two are actual classes (one is an independent study, cuz the class she needed isn't offered this semester). So Mommy only has class on two days a week!! She is offically done with her internship, but her bosses wanted her to keep working through September. So she still works at Horsetooth on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The little bit of extra money will be nice!!

Daddy's working hard as usual!! Now with Mommy taking me to and from the sitters house, he can ride his bike to work more!! It's a loooooooong trip though!! He's still got a couple of trips to take this year for work, and we are hoping that one of them is to Yellowstone National Park!! (for the Old Faithful Inn) Cuz then Mommy and I can go too!!

Not a whole lot coming up. We are coming to Indy for a visit in the middle of October, to see Jason - We hear he's doing lots better!! Yeah!! So have a good Labor Day weekend everyone!!

First Couple of Albums Up

So It's taking me a while to upload all those pictures, but I did get through about half of them last night!! So you can see those at the Kodak Gallery (links on the right). We started our trip Wednesday night, and drove to Buena Vista and camped. We then drove the rest of the way to the area. Here is a Map of the local area where we spent our time the first couple of days.
Thursday afternoon we drove through Ouray and across Ophir Pass. We then spent Thursday night in Telluride at a condo we were able to get for cheaper than a hotel!! We drove up to Bridal veil falls for many photos, and then walked around town and took the Free Gondola ride to Mountain Village. Friday morning we got up early and drove across Imogene Pass. That was a beautiful drive through abandoned mining towns and very high elevations. This drive comprised the bulk of the pictures, because it was so beautiful!! Because we ended up in Ouray again, we decided to look around a little more, and we visited the Box Canyon Falls, a very violent waterfall mostly hidden by the rock it has carved itself into! Very interesting (and LOUD!!). After that We drove into Durango to meet up with the rest of the family. Here's a map of the bigger picture!!
Saturday we spent the day exploring Mesa Verde National Park. We took a tour of Cliff Palace, and got to see many other interesting cliff dwellings. We went back on Monday and toured Long House, and took a tram ride to some adjacent villages. On Sunday we took the trainride from Durango to Silverton, and it was another beautiful journey!! I will get the pictures up from these last couple of days shortly, along with the MANY video clips we have!! In the meantime, enjoy the views from Ouray and Telluride!!

FAMILY VACATION!!!

Hey everyone!! What a Week I had!! Last Wednesday Mommy, Daddy and I went on vacation to Southwestern Colorado!! We had a blast!! We spent 2 days in Telluride, Ouray, and Silverton area doing some Wheelin' in the Xterra, then we drove down to Durango to meet up with Grandma & Grandpa Louie and Aunt Tina!! We went to Mesa Verde National Park and rode a Train from Durango to Silverton - My first train ride!! It was so much fun!! Mommy and Daddy said that we took WAY too many pictures!! (Mommy has a 2 GB memory card and we almost filled it up!! That's almost 500 pictures!!!) So we have to get an external hard drive now so that we can save them all. Mommy says she will get a couple of Kodak albums made as soon as she can, but it will take longer uploading them directly from the camera. But here's a few from the trip you can preview!!
Us in front of Bridal Veil Falls (in Telluride - 365 foot falls)
On top of Imogene Pass (Between Telluride and Ouray - 13,114 feet)

Us at Spruce Tree House (Cliff Dwelling at Mesa Verde National Park)

More to come - check back over the next couple of days for the Kodak albums!!
