Massage!!

So I had my first pre-natal massage today, and the only thing I can say is AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!! It was absolutely wonderful!! The lady is also a certified Doula, so she really knows what she's doing. And they even had a special table with a hole in it for my belly - how cool is that!! It was so wonderful, I didn't want to leave! I would recommend it to anyone!! Definately going to go back again!

Update!

So, This is what I look like now, still growing!! This little boy keeps getting bigger - and stronger! When he kicks now we can usually see my stomach move, and it's very entertaining!! Cam has started reading to him just about every night. He's reading the in utero version of Dr. Seuss's Oh the Places You'll Go (called Oh Baby, the Places You'll Go). And it's really funny because he is usually more active the next day after Cam has read to him. If we miss a day, he's not as "bouncy"! Cam also spent last weekend in Indy, and his dad helped him translating some Chinese words and names that we can use for a middle name. So hopefully soon we will have decided on a name! We will let you know when we do!!

It's a BOY!!!

It's a BOY!!!!
Baby Feet
Hi Baby!!!
Baby Face, and belly . . .

Ultra sound and Dr's appointment went well, everything looks good, and healthy, and IT'S A BOY!!! We are very Excited!!! However, I'm sure that later in life this little man won't be too happy about Mommy displaying his little wee-wee all over the internet, but hey - that's what mothers are for right - embarassment!! We like the name Rylie, but nothing is set in stone yet (especially the spelling - Riley, Rylee, Reilly . . . ).

He's still moving quite a bit, especially early in the morning and late at night. Cam has gotten to feel quite a bit more now. Everything is going well, Aliy starts school again on the 16th, and is coming home for a baby shower in March (more info to come). Next appointment is in February, and a glucose test is scheduled. Hopefully that will be normal!!

IT'S A BOY!!

Baby kicked me!

So, I was just out for the night when Aliy wakes me up and puts my hand on her belly. She tells me the baby was moving. So, I wait for a second and sure enough it was. It was really neat to feel the baby move, even though I was half asleep. Aliy was surprised I remembered anything from the night before because I was so tired. Unfortunately, I haven't felt anything since, but we can't wait until Friday.

2nd Blizzard!

Thanks to everyone for all the prayers, we did finally make it home safe!! We left Indy around 5:30 Colorado time and expected to hit the storm when we reached eastern Nebraska. However, it was moving faster than we thought and it started snowing just west of Des Moines. We stopped for lunch in Des Moines around 1 o'clock, and a good thing too, because we didn't reach Omaha until 6:30. Through the storm we averaged about 35-40 mph, except for the traffic jam caused by two jack-knifed semi's (one of which we think came from the eastbound lanes). During that we only went 5 miles in about 2 and 1/2 hours. It was stressful for Aliy, especially seeing all the cars spun out and stuck along the side of the road, but Cam did a good job of taking it slow and keeping everything under control.
We were planning to stay somewhere in Nebraska over night, but when we reached the other side of Omaha and saw how clear the roads were we were able to make up some time and finish the drive last night. We still got in very late, about 3:30 this morning, but we made it, and it's good to be home.

Baby info - This little one is very active, especially when Mommy wants to sleep!! The baby has been moving a lot, nothing Cameron can feel yet (which disappoints him), but is very cool to experience. Check in this Friday afternoon!! We have an ultrasound in the morning, so hopefully the baby will cooperate enough that we can find out if it is a boy or girl!!! We can't wait!! Thanks to everyone for the baby stuff we got for Christmas, guess it's time to start planning where to put everything!!
