Happy 2 Months Amara!!

Yep, 2 Months old already!  Can you believe it? I can't!!!  It's crazy how fast time is going right now.  Things are going great.  Amara had her 2 month check up today, and she's on the small side (not quite as small as Jayce though) but still growing good!  She weighs 10 lbs on the nose, putting her in the 17%, and 21 3/4 inches long, making it the 11% for her age.  Of course like her brothers though, she's got that big ol' noggin, her head size comes in at 44%.  She's now smiling quite a bit, usually in the mornings, and tracking with her head really well, holding her head up pretty good too.  She's so cute, and I am having a little bit too much fun dressing her up in all the cute clothes she has.  I'm taking pictures of some of my favorite outfits . . . so sorry if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram and you are bombarded with nearly daily pictures of her outfits!  (and if you want to see all of them, feel free to follow me to check them out!) Here's some pictures of her for your "Amara Fix"

The boys are doing great too!  Riley got his first school Valentines this year!  We had fun making them!  Thanks to Pinterest I had a plethora of ideas of what to do, and Riley picked to do Superhero ones.  They were pretty easy, and really cute.  It was a tootsie roll sucker that was wearing a superhero cape and had a flag on the front saying something like "you're a super friend" or "have an action-packed Valentine's Day".  I did make Riley help a lot, he cut out all the capes from paper and wrote all the to and froms, and even did a lot of the gluing superhero logos on the capes.  And I'm sure none of the parents will be confused as to if a Mommy or a Kindergartener made them!  ;)  Oh well, it's good for him, right!  Also, for Valentine's Day we made chocolate covered strawberries.  They were a hit at my bake sale the weekend before (displayed on my lovely cake stand I made at a friend's Pinterest Party) and so we made some again for Valentine's Day.  Riley even took some to his teacher for her Valentine.

Speaking of which, Riley is doing really good in school still.  We had his spring conferences last week and once again his teacher was really bragging on him!  He's one of the top readers in his class, his math has improved, and she was so proud of his social skills.  There is a little boy in his class that is scared to speak in public (no really, he hasn't said a single word to anyone in his class), but Riley loves to play with him!  Zack's mom says that he comes home everyday and talks a mile a minute about Riley.  I'm so proud of him for not being scared to be Zack's friend!  One of these days we'll have to have a playdate with Zack!

Not much else has been going on.  The weather up until this week has been really warm, and then this week we finally got some snow!!  Yay, Moisture!  Unfortunately it happened right before we are to get some family pictures taken . . . outside!  Ugh.  We are going to do some indoors, but most of the Family ones were going to be outdoors.  I just hope it warms up for tomorrow!  Also, Just in time for pictures, Jayce busted his face up!  Yep, my "fearless" child was jumping off the ladder from the bunkbeds into a pile of blankets and pillows that he and his brother piled up and whacked his cheek on something.  There's a nice scrape and bruise, and even some swelling still.  So that will look nice for pictures.  Oh well.  Like I told my friend who's taking the pictures - if I waited for the boys to be boo-boo free for pictures we would never get pictures taken.  I'm really excited, I hope they go well.  I've got some cute outfits picked out for the kids to wear, including some bow ties for the boys, and a superhero shirt for Jayce.  So once again I'll just leave you with a few more pictures from the last couple weeks.  Have a good weekend everyone!

Pictures to share

Hey all!!  Busy day today for me trying to catch up on some orders.  But I wanted to share some pictures real quick while the kiddos are napping!  (Yes, Jayce and Amara are both napping while Riley is at school . . . How I have been so lucky to have this as an almost daily routine is beyond me!!)

I snapped this one this morning without Riley knowing, and I absolutely LOVE it!!  It shows his true big brother side.  I was trying to eat breakfast and put Amara in the swing so I could eat my cereal.  She started crying (as usual) and Riley went over to her and started reading her a book.  It didn't keep her from crying, but I thought it was the sweetest thing!  I love this little man!!

Also, I've been sucked into the Instagram phenomenon!  Ok, not "sucked" in, because I'm really liking it!  Anyways it's really fun to play with, so here's some shots that I've taken over the last few days on Instagram.
Not much going on here, just the grind of everyday life!  School, home, Mops, Bible Study, grocery, laundry, dishes, etc.  Riley had his 100th day of school last Friday, and he got to take in 100 mini marshmallows to put in a snack mix that they made and then shared at school.  We have his spring conferences next week so we'll get to see how he's improving.  Jayce still loves his baby sister!  A little too much!  He's graduated from poking and prodding her to trying to pick her up.  I know he's doing it out of love, but he is just too little to pick her up, or even understand!  So things with him are becoming difficult.  Luckily Riley's around most of the time to help keep eyes on him.  And Amara is just as sweet as ever!!  She's figured out the "cry and they will pick me up" thing, so that's been fun!  But she's sleeping between 8-10 hours straight a night already!  She is truly a gift from heaven!!!  She is ready for bed pretty early, usually by 7, so that means she still wakes up around 3 or 4, but at this point I'll take it!!  I've been trying to go to bed earlier, but it's hard when the house is quiet and I can finally have some time to myself!  I hate to go to sleep and not take advantage of it!

This weekend is pretty busy for us, birthday parties, a pinterest party for me, and a TON of crocheting to get caught up on.  Yay for a booming business!!  Have a great rest of the week everyone!
