New House

So Here is Riley's First Home!! Our bid was accepted, our loan was approved so we close this Friday (as long as everything else goes well), and will hopefully be completely moved in by the end of April!! Yeah!! We are very excited. It has 1641 finished sq. ft., with a small unfinished basement, extra "family room", and nice-sized yard for the dogs. It's a tri-level (not counting the basement), with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The only bummer is that it's new construction so there are a lot of extras that we will have to pay for ourselves (appliances, yard landscaping, etc.). But it's a really nice house, with plenty of room to grow in, in a nice quiet neighborhood outside of Fort Collins.
This has been a big weight on our shoulders, so it's nice to have it decided and moving along smoothly now!! Everything else is going smoothly too! Aliy has had a hectic school schedule, but it looks like things will slow dramatically through April (until Finals that is!!), and it looks like Cam may have only one more Travel Trip with work til the baby comes. Dr. says that Riley is doing good, and very active! He even kicked away the heart rate monitor at the last appointment! So he keeps Aliy on her toes (and awake most of the night) with all his kicking and rolling about! next appointment is April 5, and then less than 2 months to the due date!!

Daddy stuff

So this weekend we went crazy shopping!! We got all the necessities we will need for the baby - Crib, high chair, diaper stuff, etc. And since we will probably (hopefully) be moving into a house soon, there didn't seem much point in taking it all out of the boxes and setting it up. That is except for Cam's Beloved Jeep Stroller!! (Thanks Erin and Joan!) So he got to do his first "Daddy Duty" and put the stroller together. He's so excited he folds and unfolds it at least twice a day!! So here's some Pictures of Cam putting together the Stroller:

He's Very Proud!! We have a Dr's appointment Tomorrow, and Aliy gets another Massage on Wednesday (She can't wait!!)

Baby Shower!

Well, I made it to Indy all right!! And had a blast at the baby shower- Thanks to EVERYONE who helped out with games, decorations, food, pictures, everything!! It was still exhausting, but worth it to see everyone again!! Riley got a lot of great things, and some very cute outfits!! I can't wait to post pictures of him wearing them on here for you all to see. I'll be able to carry the clothes and some other small things home in my suitcase, but the rest we'll have to ship home. So far we have one large box full of toys!
Cam has been house hunting for us while I'm gone, and I think we found a couple of ones we like in Severance (a small town outside Fort Collins.) So that's the next step, find a house, and then get it all ready for Riley to come home!!
I'll try to get some pictures of the Shower up when I get home, and again A big Thank You to everyone who came and helped out!! It was Wonderful!!

Update

After being poked and proded some more at the Dr.'s, everything is looking good. Aliy got her Rhogam shot (for the 2nd time!), and had a few more tests run to make sure that she's safe to travel next week. And All is Good!! Apparently one test is to see the likelyhood that she will deliver in the next 2 weeks, and it came back negative. :) Everything seems to be running on schedule - she's growing at a perfect rate, even though it feels to her like she's expanding exponentally!! Her belly is starting to get heavy, and in the way a lot. And other inconveniences like heartburn and leg cramps have kicked in too. Riley moves on a pretty consistant basis now, becoming more active in the mornings and at night, and after Aliy eats (especially anything sweet - guess he got Dad's sweet tooth!!) He's also started kicking fairly rythmicly when Cameron reads to him - which is really cool to watch!

Childbirthing class started on Thursday (and we were both exhausted after a last minute trip to the vet for our crazy dog). That went well, and seems like the experience is going to be very informational for us. Cam's new favorite word he learned is Fundus (the top part of the uterus), and uses it as often as possible - even if it doesn't make sense!! ;) The class is 11 couples, who in all are having 9 boys and 3 girls (one set of twins). In a couple of weeks we get to tour the hospital, and Aliy is looking forward to that one.

Aliy flies home to Indy on Friday night, and will be around for a few days. She is looking forward to seeing everyone again, and hoping that the trip isn't too stressful (although it will be a nice break from the craziness she has had at school lately!) We'll try to get some pictures up around then. See you all soon!!

And Happy 21st Birthday to Aunt Anna!!!
