MORE Birthday stuff!!

Well, we Finally got around to having Jayce and Amara's Birthday Party . . . .almost a month after it was originally scheduled!  But it was worth it. Almost everyone was able to be there, and everyone had a blast.  I have been wanted to do a Frozen theme since last year, partly because my kids (like every other child under 10) LOVE this movie!!!  (And I do too)  ;)  But also because they have winter birthdays so what better time to have a snow/frozen themed party than in December!  (or January lol).

The kids all got head gear to wear, the girls had crowns like Elsa's, and the boys were decked out in antlers like Sven.  The first thing we did was paint our snowflakes. This was really cool, and I'm really proud of myself for finding this one! (no I didn't come up with it on my own.)  It was something the little ones like Amara could do without any problems, but also the big guys enjoyed it because they could design their snowflake exactly like they wanted!  We just used Masking tape on canvases then painted over them (no skill required) Then when it dried and we pulled the tape off, voi la!  Snowflakes!!  It was really neat to see all the kids different versions!

We also had snacks, and played Pin the Nose on Olaf. But I think the favorite part for everyone was the cakes. I made 2 personal cakes for Jayce and Amara, all decked out in blue and snowflake sprinkles. And then cupcakes for everyone else.

The kids played with their new presents the rest of the night, which was good because all the Dads were too engrossed in the Colts/Broncos game to do anything else. So the women chatted, the kids played, and the Dads watched football. It was so cliche it was ridiculous!! But it was a good time had by all, and I'm so glad that the kids finally got to have their Frozen Party!!  ;)

Love this Picture. It was the epitome of the party.  Even while singing to his children Cam has his eyes on the game!!

Yep!! It was Blue Cake!!

All Dolled up!!

(and for those of you who noticed and wondered where Riley is in all the Photos . . . he was upstairs in his room. After many, many warnings and other consequences, his behavior didn't allow him to join the party.)
