Still No Riley!
Ultrasound today was normal, the fluids seem to be good. So we're still on schedule for tomorrow. I really don't think anything will happen tonight, seeing as I still haven't had ANY contractions, or other signs. I was hoping to get some more info for you all today, but Riley didn't want to cooperate very much. I was hoping to see how big he was, or get some more ultrasound pictures, but the tech was having a hard time getting him to move around so she could get some measurements, and since it wasn't urgent I didn't push. So apparently he's just nice and cozy!! We did some research this weekend, and have tried many "home remedies" to induce labor, but nothing seems to be working. The only one I haven't tried is drinking Castor oil, because I've heard some bad things about side affects. I found a good website on acupressure points that are supposed to induce labor, and we've been doing those regularly (about every 20 min) for about 3 days now. Lots of walking the dogs, shopping, stretching and housework, but still nothing! It's getting to the point where we are just going to have to rely on modern medicine to get this boy out!! We'll let you all know as soon as we can when he's here!! Hopefully it will be soon!!!

New Pictures
Here are some updated pictures taken today - at right. (not that things have changed too much), and a few from Rocky that we took too. Yes, we went, and no, nothing happened!! But it was beautiful - thankfully we went early enough to get to the top before the afternoon storms rolled in.

Still Waiting. . .
Well, another disappointing trip to the Dr. Absolutely nothing has happened yet!! No change, no dilating, nothing!! Which doesn't necessarily rule anything out, but knowing that nothing is progressing now is very frustrating. So the game plan is this: Ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday to check my fluids, and if that checks out ok then I go to the hospital Wednesday night to prep my cervix, and induction starts bright and early Thursday Morning!! So those of you who said May 31 may be right!! Although maybe not as early as 9:30 - Sorry Ellen. But who knows, He may still come before, or he may hold out until the 1st for you Rodger!! But let's hope after I'm induced it doesn't take that long!! So by this time next week we should have a BABY!! It's nice to finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!! The other day Cam said that he feels like a little kid waiting for Santa Claus!! So I'll try and get some updated pictures for everyone this weekend. Since nothing's happening, I think we are going to try and go to Rocky Mtn. National Park tomorrow for the opening of Trail Ridge Road. (Don't worry, it's only a little over an hour away from the hospital if anything does happen). And who knows, maybe hanging out at 12,000 ft. for a little bit will jumpstart something!! Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day Weekend - And for all of you in Indy - Enjoy the race for us, we miss all the May hoopla!! Look for an update Tuesday afternoon, and again probably by next Saturday!!

Take a Guess!!
Well, the Dr.'s appointment today was rather disappointing. Apparently there has been absolutely no change, meaning this could take a while!! The Doc was quick to express that anything could change in a moment, but things are moving really slow as of right now! So We thought it might be fun and interesting to hear what you all think. Post a "Comment" (it should be set up to where anyone can post), and tell us what day you think Riley might be born. Aliy's due date is May 26th, and she's taking the 29th, three days late. However, Cam has a positive attitude about it and is voting for the 24th, two days early!! (Let's hope so for Aliy's sake!!) It will be fun to hear everyone's opinions, and see who guesses the right day!! If you're feeling really lucky you can add a time of day, too, but the day is all that we are asking for. And remember - this is the day that Riley is to be born, not necessarily the day that Aliy goes into labor. ;) Have fun!!

Happy Mother's Day!!
First we want to wish Everyone a Happy Mother's Day, New Moms, Older Moms, and Grandmas!!! Here's a picture of Aliy's mom 2 weeks before she was due with Aliy!!
Well, only 2 weeks to go!! And things seem to be progressing slowly (at least right now), so the Dr. thinks it could take two weeks. Things are progressing, just not as fast as Aliy might like!! She's very tired, and her back is really bothering her. Her feet are swelling more now, and with the heat we've had lately she's just all around uncomfortable. She feels bad that she can't help out around the house more. She's also been sleeping in the guest bed surrounded by pillows, which is lonely for Cam, but easier on her! Cam has taken on a lot helping with all the housework, unpacking and the usual cooking and cleaning. It's exhausting for him, but someone has to do it! He's been a really trooper!! The house is coming along. We are finally getting things organized. The dogs are loving the yard!! Aliy spends most of the early morning (before it gets too hot, and the back yard is still shady) outside playing with them (or sitting in the chair watching mostly!!) Which is great because then they are pooped for the rest of the afternoon and less obnoxious!!
We are both anxious for Riley to be here!! And we know that everyone is anxious to see him, or at least pictures!! Hopefully we can keep you all updated from the hospital (maybe not moment by moment - but at least tell you when, and post some pictures!!) The hospital has an online nursery where you can see pictures of babies born on a certain date. Just go to www.pvhs.org, click on "Babies" on the left, and which hospital (We are hoping to go to Medical Center of the Rockies - but that's only allowed if everything progresses normally), and then enter the date. That way you all can see him if we don't get any pictures up immediately! Let's just hope everything goes smoothly!!

37 Weeks!
Dr.'s appointment today went good - Aliy is about 70% effaced, but Riley hasn't moved down a whole lot - so Doc thinks it will still be another couple of weeks!! Which is good, since it's not really time yet, but Aliy is Ready!! She pulled a muscle in her back last week from helping unpack and is in quite a bit of pain when she moves. Thankfully we are in the house she doesn't have to walk the dogs anymore, and school is almost done so she can just relax after that. She's really taking it easy, and Cam is being a trooper and picking up the slack with unpacking things!! Riley's room is ready for him (minus the mess from all the empty boxes scattered everywhere). Aliy's Mom is planning to come out and visit the first week in July, and Cam's parents are probably coming before that, so Lots of visitors to look forward to. Riley also got a cute gift from one of Aliy's professors and classmates - a stuffed CSU Ram, and a Onesie that says "Everyone Love a Baby Ram!" So he is now officially a CSU Baby!! Dr.'s Appointments are weekly now, so we'll keep you all updated as much as possible now!! Things should start picking up!
