2nd Blizzard!

Thanks to everyone for all the prayers, we did finally make it home safe!! We left Indy around 5:30 Colorado time and expected to hit the storm when we reached eastern Nebraska. However, it was moving faster than we thought and it started snowing just west of Des Moines. We stopped for lunch in Des Moines around 1 o'clock, and a good thing too, because we didn't reach Omaha until 6:30. Through the storm we averaged about 35-40 mph, except for the traffic jam caused by two jack-knifed semi's (one of which we think came from the eastbound lanes). During that we only went 5 miles in about 2 and 1/2 hours. It was stressful for Aliy, especially seeing all the cars spun out and stuck along the side of the road, but Cam did a good job of taking it slow and keeping everything under control.
We were planning to stay somewhere in Nebraska over night, but when we reached the other side of Omaha and saw how clear the roads were we were able to make up some time and finish the drive last night. We still got in very late, about 3:30 this morning, but we made it, and it's good to be home.

Baby info - This little one is very active, especially when Mommy wants to sleep!! The baby has been moving a lot, nothing Cameron can feel yet (which disappoints him), but is very cool to experience. Check in this Friday afternoon!! We have an ultrasound in the morning, so hopefully the baby will cooperate enough that we can find out if it is a boy or girl!!! We can't wait!! Thanks to everyone for the baby stuff we got for Christmas, guess it's time to start planning where to put everything!!
