April Catch-up

Wow, I am really bad at posting lately!  Guess that just means I've been busy with all my kiddos!!!  And that I have been!  So I'll start with Finishing up April, since I still haven't done that!

Let's see, I left off with my birthday, so next came Riley's first visit from the tooth fairy . . . followed closely by Riley's Second visit from the tooth fairy!!  He lost his first tooth,  the lower left front, on the 22nd, and the lower right front just 2 days later!  It was so cute.  He already has his permanent teeth behind those so we never were able to get any "toothless" smile pictures.  But the tooth fairy was very generous for his first teeth.  The first one he got 2 $2 bills, a certificate, and got to keep his tooth.  The second one the fairy left him 2 half dollars and a Sacajawea dollar (along with the customary certificate).  He now has one top tooth that's loose too, and a couple molars coming in, so he's just crazy tooth man right now!  Jayce also has some molars coming in so that's has made him super fun too!  Here's some pics from Riley's first tooth fairy adventures.

The rest of April was filled with another MOPS mom's night out for me, fun girl time and a break from the kiddos.  I've come to really enjoy these monthly outings!!!  And a family hike to our favorite waterfall!  The hike to Horsetooth Falls has become an annual spring tradition, and I don't think I will ever get tired of it.  This year we were able to take all three kiddos, and all three did wonderfully!!  I carried Amara in my wrap, Jayce hiked the entire way there, but was carried in the backpack by Cam most of the way back, and Riley got to hike the entire thing.  We did the loop this year (vs. the traditional out and back like usual) which is only slightly longer but has more elevation change.  Riley was complaining a lot towards the end, but he made it and was such a trooper!  Amara really enjoyed herself, and adapted really well to the changes for the day.  I can't wait to do this hike again . . . although it may be awhile unless I can find someone to go with me who is willing to carry Jayce.
