So much has gone on in the last couple of weeks since we last posted!! Let's start with yesterday and work backwards! Yesterday was My 29th birthday, and I've been joking that it's my first of MANY 29th birthdays to come! lol It was a very special day! I got to go out to lunch with my boys and our friends the Felkers. Although going to a nice restaurant (not McDonalds or Chick-fil-A) with 4 boys under the age of 4 was quite an experience!! I don't think I'll try that one again!
Then we had a nice relaxing dinner at home (Cameron caved and made me fish) and Cake! Yummy!! Riley picked out the Balloon candles, and even helped me blow them out! I was so happy to spend this day with all my boys!
On Monday we took Jayce for his 4 month check up - can you believe he's already 4 months old!! I can't! He weighed in at 11 lbs 3 oz and 25 inches long. The Dr. wasn't too happy about him only gaining a pound over the last couple months, and instructed us to start supplementing his diet with formula or rice cereals. So far this has proved to be a challenge, because he has difficulty accepting breastmilk from a bottle, much less formula. But he's still growing lengthwise good, as well as his head, and is still on target develpmentally, so we aren't highly concerned with his weight gain yet. I mean after all I'm not exactly a large person, and with Cameron's Asian genes Jayce may just be destined to be tiny!
Last week we had a lot of fun playing outside. We played with the Felkers quite a bit, played in the backyard and even went hiking one day! We hiked with some friends from MOPS to Horsetooth Reservoir. We hiked to Dixon Cove and played by the water for a little bit before hiking back.
In other news, My Flowers are blooming! My crocus came up a couple weeks ago, but now my hyacinths are blooming too! The Tulips have buds so those should come out in the next couple days. I am definitely going to cut some for the house for Easter! I love Springtime!!
Since we've been spending so much time outside I was looking for something for him to be in that will keep him in the shade. Our umbrella bit the dust after the last wind storm, so this is what we've been doing to make do.
But I needed something to take with us to the park, or the neighbors, etc. Also, I wanted something that could be used as a "travel crib" when we go to Indy or Camping this summer. And this is what I found:
It's called a PeaPod!! Isn't that cute! it's a little pop-up tent that's UV and wind protective. It folds up easily so I can take it just about anywhere, and it has a little sleeping bag and air mattress if I want to use it. Riley thinks it's the Greatest thing in the world!! If it wasn't so expensive I'd buy another one for him!! But luckily Jayce is still small enough that they both fit in nicely, and Riley loves being the one to "entertain" him in the tent (so far!!)
Well, that's about it for now. We've got a lot of stuff coming up in the next couple weeks too. Easter celebrations, birthday parties, and Easter itself!! And Cameron's Marathon is May 1st. 26.2 Miles down the Poudre Canyon into Old Town. He's been training hard for it, and is feeling pretty good! I have a good feeling that he will finish this one with flying colors!! He is so determined!! So look for more pictures to come!!

Glad you had a great birthday! I tried to start going backwards after I turned 30, but my girls were too smart for that...every time I said I was 29, they said "No you're not, You're 31!". Hopefully it works for you ;-)
