Smiley Boy

Now that Jayce is getting more regular naps, he's also getting more regular playtime!!  Yay!!  It's so great to see this boy growing and changing!  He likes to smile and some things that make him smile are: peek-a-boo with Mommy, noisy kisses in his mouth (it makes an echo he likes), and silly laughs.  No laughs out of him yet, but we can't wait for the cute little giggles that are soon to come!! Two Months and Swimming!

Hey Friends!!  I have got a lot to tell you about today!  Did you know that I started Swimming Lessons again!!  It's so much fun!!  I really like going to swim lessons!  Daddy takes me on Mondays, and Mommy on Wednesdays.  Then they sit waaaay up in the bleachers to watch me (cuz it's so busy they don't let Mommies and Daddies sit down by the pool).  Mommy says she's going to try and sneak down one day though so she can get some pictures.  We do lots of fun stuff in the water - like kicking our feet to make big splashes and reaching our arms to the pool.  I can't wait until this summer when I go to the pool with Mommy and Jayce and I can show them all the stuff I have learned!!  I get to go again tonight, and for 3 more weeks.  I hope Mommy signs me up for the next session again - this is so much fun!! 

On Monday Jayce had his two month checkup.  He's growing like a big boy and is very healthy.  He now weighs 10 lbs, 7.5 oz. and is 23 1/4 inches long.  Mommy said that he's smaller than I was at that age, but not by much!  And he likes to talk too!!  It doesn't sound like when I talk, its just baby babbles, but Mommy says that's how he talks.  She took some video of it today, but she's having some trouble getting the sound to work, so I'll have to show you later.  Here's a funny picture that she took though:

Daddy and I were watching Super-Motorcross on TV and Jayce decided he wanted to watch too!!  But he also wanted to suck on his fingers, so Mommy had to hold his hand up high enough for him to do both!  He's so silly!!

Next week Daddy is leaving us.  He's going far away for a training with work.  Mommy says he will be gone all week!!  I'm going to miss him a lot.  But Mommy says we are going to have some friends come over and play a lot while he's gone!!  Yay!!  Well, not much else going on!!  It's almost naptime, so see you all later!

It's a busy time right now!!  Today I had a bake sale at church for MOPS, so I've spent the past few days planning and organizing (and baking for) that.  Along with working on the craft for Tomorrow's MOPS meeting.  Tomorrow is also Jayce's 2 month check up, and Riley's first day of swimming lessons.  (we'll see how well this goes - Mommy and Daddy don't get in with him now.)  So there's a lot going on!  I'm sure I'll update you in more details later this week, but I had a few minutes tonight so I thought I would leave you with a Funny photo album I made recently.  I call it "Riley got ahold of my camera!!"  We recently upgraded to smartphones, and therefore had to download some "kid friendly" apps to entertain a certain someone who figured out how to use our phones all too quickly.  However, he has also figured out how to get out of those games and into other programs . . . like the camera.  And needless to say if my phone gets left unattended and within reach (say, while I'm changing a diaper) then I mysteriously find random pictures on my phone!!  So I decide to put them together for a laugh.  These were taken over the course of a week, Enjoy!!

Hey Everybody!!

Long Time no see!!  Do you like my new pic with Jayce?  I do, and so does Mommy.  She dressed us up the other day and took a LOT of pictures of us.  I didn't mind though, she told me if I did good I would get a Cookie!!  And not just any cookie, a Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie - MY FAVORITE!!!  So, I smiled real good, and even held Jayce for her to get a pic, and I got my Cookie!!!

This past Saturday Daddy took me to see MONSTER TRUCKS!!  It was so Cool!!  I really like it - they were big!!!  And Loud!!  So my new Favorite toys are Monster Trucks - Daddy got me one at the show, then another little one (like my hot wheels cars) when we went to Walmart later. 

Let's see, what else . . . we had another playdate with Greg and Jaxon!!  They came over to our house this time, and Greg and I played light sabers and computer games.  We also had a playdate with Tami and Harrison.  But that one wasn't as much fun.  We went over there for lunch, and I told Mommy that my tummy didn't feel good.  So as soon as I ate a few bites of lunch I puked all over the floor!  Mommy was nursing Jayce and couldn't help me, so Tami helped me to the kitchen sink.  I'm so glad she did!!  I felt a lot better after that.  And even better later on.  Mommy and Daddy were beginning to wonder if I was really sick, or just ate something funny (like milk from dinner that I sometimes leave on the table over night).  So we went out to the Asian Pearl Bistro to celebrate Chinese New Year (Yummy - I got Sweet & Sour Chicken!!) and I did fine.  I even ate most of my chicken!  But then I got sick again that night around midnight.  Mommy and Daddy were so nice to clean me up in the middle of the night.  Mommy even changed my sheets and washed my blankeys.  But after that I was fine!!  No fever, no more getting sick, just a lingering runny nose. 

Mommy says I should tell you a little about Jayce now.  He's getting big (as you can see in the picture).  He smiles a lot now.  He's still sleeping through the night, usually 8-10 hours at a time, but the other night he slept for 11!!  Boy was he hungry when he finally woke up!  But he's still not napping during the day.  Mommy can usually get a couple of 10-20 minute catnaps out of him, and every couple days he'll take a 45 minute "nap", but that's about it!  Mommy says to tell you all to pray for her patience!  With Jayce not napping she's having a hard time giving everyone 1-on-1 Mommy time, including herself! 

Well, Not much going on this week.  It's this weekend that's Busy!!  Mommy has a MOPS Bake Sale on Sunday, and Valentine's day is CRAZY BUSY!!  We have MOPS that morning.  Jayce has his 2 month check up, and I start Swimming Lessons!!  YAY I can't wait!!  Have a good week everyone!
